Last night, I spent the night playing with my chopper. I like to fettle with the tip first before oiling the shaft. I sometimes put a drizzle of oil on top of the head, just to keep it supple.
I’ve wrapped some paracord around the shaft, just below the head to give it some protection should I get a bit too aggressive when I’m pounding away. It also helps with grip should I need to take a firmer higher hold further up the shaft to do more intricate movements.
It’s important to maintain a firm grip on the shaft to preventing your hand slipping and causing severe injury. Sometimes I find concentrating on something else other than what’s in front of you a distraction, so I tend to stay focused. This always leads to the ultimate finish too.
What did you guys get up too last night?
